Craft Project With Button Cover

I LOVE button covers. You don't see them very often in crafting, but I have several laying around because I used them for my Fabric Flower pins and headbands. I was playing around with different ways to "repurpose" button covers and came up with this nifty craft project.

I have a very special initial pendant that was given to me by my sister. I wear it all the time. It represents the initials of my two girls and I hold it very dear. With so many friends having babies, I thought it would be fun to put a new spin on the ever popular initial necklace.

I put the two ideas together and come up with these necklaces:

Here are the supplies I used:
Stampin' Up! Glimmer Paper, Stampin' Up! card stock (various colors), the round part of a 7/8 inch button cover, Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects, silver bail & silver necklace, Big Shot & Sizzix Naturally Serif Alphabet die.

After cutting out my paper and letters, I popped it into the button cover and then ran it through my Big Shot to flatten the back. Then I filled the button cover with SU Crystal Effects and let it dry over night. Finally I glued on the silver bail and put it on the silver chain.

A perfect necklace to display your loved one's initials!
